[To provide coaching and resources for entrepreneurial moms that will guide you into your balance of family and business….enabling you to LEAD your life rather than chase it.]
A little more than a year ago on a Wednesday morning at 5 o’clock, I pulled myself away from my desk to fill my coffee cup for the umpteenth time. I had worked through an entire night. And it wasn’t the first time either. I was exhausted and worn out. I even felt a little bitter towards life, my life. In that moment, the life I had created for myself stared me in the eye. I was working non-stop, without focus and felt like a hamster in a wheel. I was working myself to death, trying to run and grow a full time photography business as well as care for my four daughters as a full-time, single mom. It was killing me emotionally, physically and spiritually. I also found myself growing away from my daughters and loosing my soul in the process. I snapped. Literally. And I knew something had to change. I also knew that I was in charge of that change…of figuring out a better way and making it happen. And that is what I did.
Success is not measured in dollars and cents but rather in the quality of life one truly enjoys every day. I am proud to say that I am doing what it takes to be living the life I’ve always wanted. A huge part of that is being able to be there for my four daughters both emotionally and physically….to have the energy to care for them and to be present with them…to be the one sitting at their practices and games and performances. And though my daughters are at the top of my priorities, I also am happy to be investing time in a career that is fulfilling to me. Doing what you love is so important for your well-being.
My journey as an entrepreneur has been traveled before….and is being traveled by many women. It definitely has it’s phases of challenges as well as rewards, and finding that balance takes time and energy and can be a tough path to navigate. I have floundered my way through finding what does work for me and my family. Trying this method and that, reading books about time management and business, listening to webinars as well as being mentored and coached by other professionals. I have also navigated running my business during the life challenges of pregnancies and infants and small kids, being married and being a single parent, moving, etc. I may not have a coaching degree or fancy titles, but I do get up and make it happen every single day; and I want to offer you practical guidance that will work for you and your unique situation.
If you are an entrepreneurial mom facing the challenges of balancing your family and your business and trying not to loose your mind in the process, please don’t feel alone.
